PROTECT YOURSELF

Protect your privacy on the Internet . This does not mean you have to give false information about yourself . Use your first name or nickname , not your full name .
There could be some malicious people on the Internet who PRESENT THEMSELVES FALSLY. Keep away from them!
NEVER EVER disclose your password of email accounts , profiles on social networking sites and chat sites .
Use " strong " passwords that cannot be easily " broken" ( a combination of uppercase and lowercase characters and numbers )
Keep in mind that everything you write and publish on the Internet becomes public and accessible to a large number of people and you can no longer control how others use your data.

PROTECT YOUR COMPUTER

Always install antivirus protection program on your computer and make sure it is always updated. If you don`t know how to do it, ask an adult to help you.
Never surf the Internet if your computer is not protected by antivirus software.
Never click on pop-ups . The safest is to close it by clicking the X in the upper right corner.You never know what the program will do, even if you click on the "No".
	Never download from the Internet without your parents` consent. Some sites contain viruses that may damage your computer.
	Always scan documents attached to e-mails with antivirus program before you open them.
Do not open e-mails that you receive from people you don't know. Delete them!
If you suspect that your computer is infected with a virus, tell this to your parents.
