PROTECT YOURSELF
- Protect your privacy on the Internet . This does not mean you have to give false information about yourself . Use your first name or nickname , not your full name .

- There could be some malicious people on the Internet who PRESENT THEMSELVES FALSLY. Keep away from them!
|
- NEVER EVER disclose your password of email accounts , profiles on social networking sites and chat sites .
|
|
- Use " strong " passwords that cannot be easily " broken" ( a combination of uppercase and lowercase characters and numbers )
|
- Keep in mind that everything you write and publish on the Internet becomes public and accessible to a large number of people and you can no longer control how others use your data.
|
PROTECT YOUR COMPUTER
- Always install antivirus protection program on your computer and make sure it is always updated. If you don`t know how to do it, ask an adult to help you.
|
- Never surf the Internet if your computer is not protected by antivirus software.
|
- Never click on pop-ups . The safest is to close it by clicking the X in the upper right corner.You never know what the program will do, even if you click on the "No".

- Never download from the Internet without your parents` consent. Some sites contain viruses that may damage your computer.
|
- Always scan documents attached to e-mails with antivirus program before you open them.
|
- Do not open e-mails that you receive from people you don't know. Delete them!
|
- If you suspect that your computer is infected with a virus, tell this to your parents.
|
|
